When and where people lived
- First people -(«Cro-Magnons») appeared about 40-35 thousand years
BC.
- A bones of Cro-Magnons were found in the cave «Сro-Magnon» in the South France.
Details about their appearance
- Their skeletons stood at 1,70-1,80 meter tall and weighted about 50
kilograms! They were slim but very strong. They had an extended narrow
skull, pointed chin.
Lifestyle
- Almost in everything they reminded modern people. Cro-Magnons became
famous as excellent hunters. They had well-developed speech and could
good cooperate with each other. They lived in communities in caves till
15-30persons and were the first in history who created settlements.

- They were able to produce different tools: sharp tips for copies,
stone knives, bone harpoons with a teeth, excellent cuts, axes and etc.
They also made figures of wild animals from clay. It served for appearance
of prehistoric kinds of art. Just «Cro-magnons» were first who made
little figures of woman (calls also Venuses). It was about 10-15 cm
tall and now it is famous all over the World, because such Venuses were
found not only in France but also in Russia, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic.
It symbolized fertility and was very important.
What we can learn from them
- So, this shows us that people know quite a lot about human evolution,
but this knowledge not enough. We still have to learn more about human
evolution.
