Maksim Gorky

Maksim Gorky ( Aleksey Maksimovich Peshkov) (born March 16 1868) is a
Russian short-story writer and novelist who first attracted attention with his naturalistic stories of tramps and social outcasts.
Gorky's earliest years were spent in Astrakhan with his father. When he was five his father died and he returned to Nizhny Novgorod to live with his maternal grandparents.
